Using Advanced xBSD Based Servers for High School
Zadina, Martin ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is about setting up Samba software on server with operating system from BSD family to primary domain controller rule in the high school computer network environment with Microsoft Windows stations. After introduction to Samba software there is examined problem of Windows network based on SMB protocol. There are described steps that are necessary to setup Samba software, disk sharing services, creation of user accounts and adding client stations to domain trust. At the next there is described problematic of network printing in the Windows environment, print servers and the solution with classical printing support in FreeBSD and CUPS printing support. In the next part there is described mass installation procedure of Windows stations with same hardware configuration. At the finish, there are noticed some tasks that are necessary for next operation of installed system.
Analyzis of Parallel Honeypot Tools
Antal, Lukáš ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Drozd, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyzes the selected shadow honeypot tool. The thesis explaines the need for having tool for early detection of a new type of cyber-attack. Shadow honeypot tool analyzed in the thesis is called Argos. Argos is one of the results of the international project called European Network of Affined honeypots (NoAH). The thesis includes thorough analysis and testing of Argos tool. The paper also includes implementation of Argos log files parsing utility.
Uninterruptible power supply with management system utilizing I2C bus for medical devices
Daněček, Vít ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
Object my master’s thesis is the design a Medical device uninterruptible power supply with managment system utilizing I2C bus. Norm EN 61000-3-2 define electric parameters for medical device power supply. In case of power supply for medial equipment is expressive accent on increased electric strength. This power supply have usually primary and secondary power circuit. Primary power circuit form line accumulator, which supplies needed output to the load and recharge reserve battery. Secondary is formed battery-pack, which serve as back-up power supply at drop-out prime circle. They have a minimum weight, small proportions, large overall effectivity also charging battery-pack and monitoring battery-pack charging condition. Result whole those master’s thesis is design Medical device uninterruptible power supply with managment system utilizing I2C bus and realization board layout. Resulting characteristics designed supply unit are: Output voltages are 5V/ 3 A , 12V/ 1,5 A and -12V/ 0,1 A. Managment support information about: Line adapter/ battery pack switch, battery-pack charging condition and actuall tempera-ture battery-pack.
Network Attack Capture Using Honeyd Tool
Bláha, Lukáš ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Drozd, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with Honeyd tool and its effectivity in capturing network attacks. At the beginning, there is a description of honeypots and its utilization in network security. An important part of the thesis is constituted by a practical implementation of network attacks and their analysis. The main goal is to create an extension for Honeyd tool which can emulate file sharing in operation systems Microsoft Windows XP, especially its free accessible part called null session. As results there are tests evaluating the level of detection of computer attacks by the created tool.
Využití protokolu QUIC pro přenos souborů
Hubený, Michal
This thesis deals with the usability of the QUIC protocol for file transfer. The aim of the thesis was to deploy existing implementations of application services (SMB, HTTPS), that are also able to use QUIC as a transport protocol. Subsequently, in the implemented topology, test how fast and durable protocols based on the TCP and QUIC are in an environment, where different kinds~of~negative network effects (delays, packet loss, ...) will be simulated. The results were achieved using dozens of measurements for each individual of scenarios. As the results indicate, file transfer on QUIC protocol is not yet as~efficient~as its existing TCP-based variants. At the conclusion of the work, the individual recommendations of the author are presented for which situations it is appropriate to choose a specific solution, so that the best results for the user are achieved.

Modern attitudes to DCF model in comparison with classical attitudes
Klečka, Ondřej ; Veselá, Jitka (advisor) ; Vacek, Vladislav (referee)
Diploma thesis covers the topic about different attitudes to DCF valuation. The first part is an introduction into CAPM theory and a multifactor French-Fama model. This part also indicates different views on financial assets and analyzes an issue of setting discount rates, especially the risk-free rate and equity risk premium. The second part of this paper applies the theory into valuation of Microsoft, GAP and Telefónica O2. There are elaborated forecasts of the financial statements and free cash flows (FCFCE, FCFU), the discount rate composition and analyses of the factors HML and SMB. At the end, there are performed various valuations, which results are discussed together with a development of real market prices.
